Khonburi Sugar Public Company Limited has a long history in Thailand, reaching back to the year 1965 and is today recognized as a leading organization in cane sugar and bio- energy businesses across South East Asia. Its subsidiaries under the KBS Group is a group of companies operating an intergrated business of sugar manufacturing and distribution. The Group is comprised of the KBS Trading Co., Ltd., Khonburi Power Plant and the Khonburi Bio Energy Co., Ltd. By intergrating human recources, technology and management expertise, KBS produces and distributes products of outstanding quality such as Raw Sugar (color value<1000 ICUMSA); Brown & Natural Sugar (color value<1000 ICUMSA); White Sugar (max. color value 100 ICUMSA, min. Pol.99.70%), Refined & Super Refined Sugar (color value 25-45 ICUMSA) as well as Sucralose Blended Sugar (200% sweetness), VHP, HiPol. Alone in 2013 the total volume of sugar produced was 254.000 MT of which more than 70% were exported. Additionally, KBS produces Molasses and Biomass Electricity with strong determination on further developments by setting up a Sugar-Energy Complex.
